Individual therapy provides a safe place to explore and understand emotional roadblocks without feeling judged. It’s a platform for increasing self-awareness and self-esteem.
There are many reasons that bring people to therapy, including:
- Reducing anxiety and depression
- Processing past traumatic experiences and finding healthier ways to cope with pain
- Seeking new ways to resolve conflicts with a partner, friends, co-workers or family members
- Resolving dissatisfaction with work and fear of changing career
You may seek therapy for a different reason. Regardless of the issues, you are on a quest to understand who you are. You want to create a better future and that is noble.
I work with you to identify issues and goals. I carefully listen to your story to highlight areas of strength. I use sensitivity to find openings for change.
Depending on the treatment goals, and only if it’s clinically appropriate, you and I may decide to invite your partner, family member, or a friend for an occasional joint session.
I will be an active participant on this journey with you.
